Tim Brown, Sr.

Timothy Leon Brown, Sr., 65, of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

Born December 22, 1960, in Norfolk, Virginia, Tim was the son of Oscar and Jessie Mae Brown. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later continued his service with the U.S. National Guard. He built a dedicated career as a welder and engineer with P & L Railway in Paducah.

Tim was known for his generous spirit, steady character, and a man whose word was his bond. He was a wonderful cook, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and someone who truly enjoyed sharing those passions with others. Above all, Tim was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who deeply adored his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a kind, dependable, and truly remarkable man.

He is survived by his children, Nickie Brown Burton (William) and Timothy Leon Brown, Jr. (Brittany Schwede); former wife, Debra Brown; ten grandchildren, Bree, Tavis, Peydon, Timontae, Alonie, Destiny, Keonta, Kelynn, Journey, and Kaecyn; four great-grandchildren, Zinnia, Bronxx, Taiden, and Lennox; and six siblings, Ruby White, Kem McCoy (Wallace), Dorothy Clemons, Lucius Brown (Stephanie), Gloria Simon, and Oscar Brown, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Bond, and his brother, Glenn Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, with Pastors Gregg Hussey and Royce Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM Tuesday until the service hour.
