THE START OF ALL

Founded in 1976, WYMC has been a trusted voice in Mayfield and Graves County for nearly five decades. Broadcasting on 93.9 FM and 1430 AM, WYMC was built on a simple mission: to serve the community with great music, reliable information, and a strong local connection.

Over the years, WYMC has grown alongside the community it serves, becoming a daily companion for listeners across Western Kentucky. From classic hits spanning the 70s, 80s, and 90s to local news, weather, and sports coverage, the station has remained committed to keeping listeners informed and entertained.

WYMC has long been proud to support local traditions and hometown pride, including coverage of Mayfield Cardinals sports, regional events, and community voices. Whether it’s morning conversations, afternoon drive-time favorites, or weekend programming, WYMC reflects the people, stories, and spirit of the area.

Today, as WYMC celebrates nearly 50 years on the air, the mission remains the same: to stay local, stay connected, and continue serving the community with timeless favorites and hometown heart.
